EVENT DETAILS & PARKING

Date: Saturday, October 23rd, 2021

Location: 1 AMB Drive, Atlanta, GA 30313

Parking: Free parking is available to all event participants in parking decks Red/Silver/Orange and lots Yellow/Blue. Please print this parking pass for free parking or you will be charged $10 at each location.

MARTA:  Mercedes-Benz Stadium is most easily accessible via the westbound (blue) train to the GWCC/CNN Center stop.

NO EARLY NUMBER PICKUP - NUMBER PICK UP ONLY AVAILABLE RACE MORNING


EVENT SCHEDULE
  • 5:45 a.m. - Number Pickup Opens (1 AMB Drive, Atlanta, GA 30313)
  • 7:15 a.m. - 5K Begins (Start Wave Every 5 Minutes)
  • 7:30 a.m. - Dash Number Pick Opens (On The Field)
  • 7:40 a.m. - Last 5K Start Wave
  • 7:45 a.m. - 5K Start Line Closes 
  • 7:50 a.m. - Mile Begins
  • 7:55 a.m. - Mile Start Line Closes
  • 8:15 a.m. - Dash (On the Field)
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5K Finish Line Closes

STEPS TO FOLLOW UPON ARRIVAL
  1. Report to number pickup - Number pickup is located on International Plaza and opens at 5:45 a.m.  No one will be allowed to participate without a race number.  Please arrive at number pickup 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to allow time for parking and getting your race number. There is no early race number pick-up. Dash bibs will only be available for pickup on the field near the start of the dash. Please see the Mile & Dash Section below for more information.
  2. Report to the start line  - Participants are asked to arrive to the start line 5 minutes prior to their scheduled time slot.
  3. Arrive at the start line prior to 7:45 a.m. -  The start line will close firmly at 7:45 a.m. for the 5K and 7:55 a.m. for the Mile.  Any participants arriving after these times will not receive a time and will be unable to run or walk on the streets due to safety concerns. 
TIME SLOT REVIEW

  • To check your time slot, log into your participant account HERE.
  • Click your registration tab and find Mercedes-Benz Stadium 5K/Walk Like MADD.
  • To change your time slot, click edit or view your registration.  Pick a new time slot and hit save in the bottom left corner.

MILE & DASH
Mile

Mile participants will pick up their bibs at International Plaza at least 30 minutes prior to the Mile start time of 7:50 a.m.  Upon completion of the Mile, children ages 14 and under will be escorted into the Child Pickup Area immediately after the finish line on runner right. The Child Pickup Area is a “safety zone,” where staff and volunteers will keep the children while parents/guardians make their way from the start at International Plaza to the finish line.  Parents/guardians should enter the stadium through Gate 2, and make their way to the finish line area to pick up their child.

Dash

Dash participants will pick up their bibs and run the race on the field. Race number pickup will open at 7:30 a.m. and the Dash starts at 8:15 a.m.  Participants and families shall enter the stadium through Gate 2 and make their way past the finish line to the Dash staging area.  Look for the feather banners adjacent to the 5K/Mile finish chute that mark the Dash.  Pick up your child’s race number in that area and then hop in line for the Dash.

COURSE & SAFETY

The course time limit for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium 5K/Walk Like MADD is 1 hour and 30 minutes (25 min/mile).  Strollers are permitted at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium 5K/Walk Like MADD. COVID-19 POLICY
Based on the guidelines released by the CDC, Atlanta Track Club has adopted specific policies to ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers, and staff. Atlanta Track Club reserves the right to ask anyone in attendance to leave the venue should they not comply.
  • Attendees who have received the COVID-19 vaccination will not be required to wear a mask.
  • Attendees who are not vaccinated are requested to wear a mask while not running or walking.
  • All participants to bring their own hydration on the course.
  • Attendees are requested to maintain social distancing throughout the duration of the event.

With the recent rise in cases due to the Delta variant, we ask all attendees to consider taking additional steps to ensure their safety and the safety of those around them. This includes but is not limited to wearing a mask regardless of vaccination status and practicing social distancing. Out of an abundance of caution, Atlanta Track Club staff will wear masks during this event.
